It was announced on Twitter that the very popular show “Desus & Mero” is coming to an end after four seasons.

One of the members, Desus, tweeted his appreciation to the supporting fans of the show and said that he’d be announcing a new job soon:

“Shoutout to showtime and shoutout to the hive, thanks being apart of this journey. Proud of the show my staff made every episode. Big things soon come.”

One of the producers and co-producer of the show, Julia Young, also tweeted about her appreciation for contributing to the show:

“Shoutout to all of the staff and crew who made this incredible show. Please hire them. Shoutout to the fans. Shoutout to Desus and Mero. I’m still processing everything but I still love you all.”

The show gave fans a lot of great moments in a short time, whether it was giving fans catchphrases that turned into gifs, the beef with DJ Envy during the Breakfast Club interview, or getting to interview legendary actor Denzel Washinton earlier this year.

The show’s ending received a lot of sad reactions from its loyal supporters on Twitter.

One user said, “The end of an era. Sighs.”

Another user said,“The brand is not strong after all.”

Controversial talk show figure Jason Whitlock, however, didn’t understand why people were sad over the breakup and tweeted:

“Show averaged about 50K viewers throughout its four-year win. Never rated. It’s comical to see people acting like this was a successful show. These guys were the Katie Nolan of comedy.

Desus responded to Whitlock’s diss to the show. He said, “You would be the expert on flop shows.”

Currently, Mero hasn’t directly given his thoughts on the breakup outside of retweeting the original breakup tweet from the show’s account.

The show went to Showtime in 2019 after two seasons with “Viceland.”

Back in February, Childish Gambino announced his hit show “Atlanta” has also ended in four seasons.

The witty dramedy is set in the A and follows Gambino’s character Earn’s life with his girlfriend, cousin, and best friend.

The show has been groundbreaking for talented actors over the years, including LaKeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Brian Tyree Henry.
