Gunna was all smiles after he spoke with loved ones and received well-needed support. The YSL rapper appears to be in high spirits as he awaits trial.
Instead of appearing miserable, a video on the internet surfaced showing Gunna smiling and being positive while behind bars.
The “Drip Too Hard” rapper is shown in a video call with his godson and several other family members.
The Atlanta rapper is currently awaiting his January 2023 trial on RICO charges and is serving time until then.
Gunna has been denied bond and won’t be releasing new music anytime soon.
On July 7, Gunna was denied bond for a second time and will have to wait for his trial in January 2023 on his RICO charges, along with Young Thug and various members of YSL.
The second bond denial was also an accusation of drug smuggling into the jail he is in.
On May 14, a nurse attempted to smuggle marijuana, crack cocaine, cigarettes, and tobacco into the Fulton County Jail.
That nurse faces drug charges, and Gunna is accused of the drugs being intended for him. Gunna’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, insisted that he was innocent.
